Cold Therapy
What is cold therapy?
Cold therapy uses cold water immersion to boost recovery by constricting blood vessels and reducing inflammation. Methods include ice baths, cold showers, and cryo-chambers. XENSURI focuses on ice baths, as research shows they offer the most effective and comprehensive benefits for recovery, performance, and overall well-being.
When and how often to ice bath?
It depends on your goals. For endurance, cool before, during, or after training. For strength, wait at least four hours post-training. For overall well-being, ice baths post-training work best. Just 11 minutes per week (2-3 sessions) can boost metabolism and enhance recovery, according to research.
Is cold plunge therapy dangerous?
While cold water immersion may offer therapeutic benefits, it also carries potential risks. Cold plunge therapy is not recommended for pregnant individuals, people with pacemakers, or those with heart conditions or high blood pressure. We strongly advise consulting your primary care physician before starting cold therapy, especially if you have any underlying health concerns. It’s best to begin gradually, listen to your body, and slowly adapt to colder temperatures.
What’s the best ice bath temperature?
Experts recommend 8-15°C (46.4-59°F) for 1-10 minutes. Start warmer and shorter, then adjust as you adapt. Over time, lower temperatures or longer sessions enhance recovery and resilience. Advanced users go as low as 3°C (37.4°F)—which is why our ice baths can reach extreme lows!
How long should I stay in an ice bath?
Ideal ice bath duration varies by tolerance, temperature, and experience, typically ranging from 1 to 2 minutes. Start at 10°C (50°F) with shorter sessions, gradually increasing time as you adapt. Once comfortable, lower the temperature to maximize benefits while maintaining safety and challenge.
Are ice baths just for athletes?
Ice baths benefit everyone, not just athletes. They aid recovery, boost mood by stimulating dopamine, and promote fat loss by activating brown fat. Ideal for performance optimization, they enhance endurance, mental resilience, and metabolism. Ice baths offer maximum benefits in minimal time, making them great for overall well-being.
Why is an ice bath better than a cold shower or cryo-chamber?
Cold showers help, but ice baths unlock true cold therapy. They activate all skin receptors at once, triggering a protective response, releasing feel-good hormones, and reducing cortisol. Water’s density enhances heat transfer better than showers or cryo-chambers, while hydrostatic pressure boosts circulation. For optimal recovery, nothing beats cold water immersion!

Currently, we ship within the United States, excluding overseas territories and islands. We are working on expanding our shipping coverage—stay tuned!
What are the shipping options, delivery times, and costs?
We offer the following shipping methods based on the product type:
For Chiller / Plunge / Ice Bath:
• Standard Shipping (FedEx): 3–7 business days — Free
For Accessories:
• Standard Shipping (USPS): 3-7 business days — Free

Do you offer free shipping?
Yes! We offer free standard shipping on all products within the U.S.
Can I change my shipping address after placing an order?
• If your order has not yet shipped, we’ll do our best to help you update the shipping address.
• However, we cannot guarantee changes, and once the order has been shipped, the address can no longer be modified.
• Please make sure your shipping information is correct before completing your purchase.
How can I track my order?
Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking link.We partner with FedEx/USPS, and you can track your shipment directly on their official website.
My order was damaged during delivery, what can I do?
If your order is damaged during delivery, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving it to initiate a shipping insurance claim.
Failure to do so may affect your shipping insurance claim and may result in no compensation being provided.
Refund & Return
Can I cancel my order after placing it?
Yes, you can cancel your order before it is processed. Please contact us at support@xensuri.com as soon as possible.
Please note: A processing fee applies to cancellations requested before shipping. Details are as follows:
• 2% fee applies if processed via shopifypayment
• 5% processing fee applies for credit card payments.
• 7% fee applies if processed via PayPal.
• 8% fee applies if processed via FSA/HSA.
• No processing fee for payments made via Klarna.
• No processing fee for payments made via Apple Pay.
• No processing fee for payments made via Google Pay.
• No processing fee for payments made via Afterpay.
These fees are incurred due to payment processing charges and applicable transaction taxes.
If your order has already been shipped, cancellation is no longer possible. You may initiate a return request after receiving the product.
What are the return conditions?
To be eligible for a return, items must meet all of the following requirements:
- Unused and unfilled (no water exposure)
- In original packaging
- All components, accessories, and manuals included
- Free of damage, wear, dirt, or mineral residue
Due to hygiene reasons, any product that has been filled with water or shows signs of use is not eligible for return, as it cannot be resold.
How do I initiate a return?
To initiate a return, please contact our support team with your order number and reason for return.
If your return is approved, we will provide return instructions. Items sent back without authorization will not be accepted.
If you need to request a return, please follow these steps:
1. Obtain Authorization: Contact our customer support team for approval before returning any item. Once authorized, we will provide a return label.
2. Submit Your Request:
• For returns, please reach out within the product’s return period.
• Provide your order number, product photos, and the reason for the exchange or return. If applicable, include a video demonstrating any defects or malfunctions.
3. Pack the Item Securely: Ensure the product is in its original packaging, and include a note inside the package with your order number, name, and reason for return.
4. Processing: Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process your exchange or refund within 1-5 business days.
Who covers the return shipping costs?
- If the return is due to customer preference, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
- If the product is defective or incorrect, we will cover the return shipping cost.

We recommend inspecting the product, materials, and size before use to ensure it meets your expectations. - Not Eligible for Return After Delivery
The following products are not eligible for return once delivered:
- Terra Series
- Chiller X2
Please inspect these products upon delivery. If there are any issues, contact us within 48 hours. - Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return:
- Consumables (filters, cleaning sponges, etc.)
- Accessories (ice bath mats, towels, and similar items)

Product Warranty Details
- Pod Series: 1-year limited warranty
- Lite Series: 1-year limited warranty
- Terra Series: 1-year limited warranty
- Chiller X2: 1-year limited warranty
- Chiller Mini 2: 1-year limited warranty
- Accessories: 1-year limited warranty
If a defect is reported within 1 year, we will provide a one-time replacement at no additional cost.
This replacement is limited to one time per order. Additional replacements or refunds are not covered under this warranty.
The warranty period begins on the date of delivery.
What does the warranty cover?
Our warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, including product failures that are not caused by misuse, negligence, or external damage.
What is not covered under the warranty?
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage that does not affect performance, misuse, accidents, unauthorized modifications, improper maintenance, or the use of non-XENSURI parts.
How do I submit a warranty claim?
To submit a warranty claim, please contact our support team with your order details, proof of purchase, and a description of the issue. Our team may request additional photos or information before determining the solution.
Who pays for shipping during a warranty claim?
Depending on the situation, customers may be responsible for shipping costs during the warranty process. If the issue is confirmed as a defect, we may cover the related costs.
